Background:

Besides having some paperwork attached to my experiences like CNE, MCSD, Project Management, I have been in the IT world for the past 16 years. I started out as an Novell Engineer, then went onto complete my MCSD in VB6.0, completed a Project Management diploma and then realy got annoyed with what the current Microsoft platforms offered. I was introduced to Linux and Open Source about 6 - 7 years ago and never looked back.

I have been programming in PHP for some time, using MySQL, Apache and different flavours of Linux. Currently I use Ubuntu (Server & Desktop, Ubuntu 9.04 runs on my HP notebook!) & Fedora Core 5 (Server & Desktop). I consult on Linux based security (Firewall), file server, GroupWare, Mail, Databases, Wireless Hotspot *nix Solutions & Web Server solutions. I fully support the OpenSource initiative and anything that can be installed and developed without costing you an arm and leg in license fees!

Thus coming back to the services I offer, they are mostly Linux based, but not entirely. I will, if you pull my leg, consult & develop on Microsoft platforms, but prefer the first, Linux. One of my favourites is development, in VB6 or most definately, PHP. I prefer to integrate systems using PHP or developing PHP based application and/or Websites.

Other than the above mentioned, I sell IT based hardware, that's if you're in South Africa. Website hosting also comes into play in the services I provide.
